The recipes began in 1988.
Inspired by the abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables in Queensland, the first Maleny Cuisine recipes were developed in 1988 when an opening in the market was discovered for gourmet condiments that were gluten free, yet delicious and affordable. Each of the recipes were created based on ripe seasonal fruit and veggies, with minimum processing required to ensure maximum freshness. As a result, each product in the Maleny Cuisine range makes a statement about being a pure gourmet condiment, authentic in flavour and appeal.
Now, over 35 years later and still running as a family owned and operated business, we remain true to the original vision for the range by continuing to produce gourmet quality premium condiments that are made from the freshest, locally sourced produce. We pride ourselves in producing these great tasting condiments to enhance the flavours of your everyday dishes or add something special to your entertaining experiences.
One kitchen, the same recipes.
Maleny Cuisine was founded in the town of Maleny. Production later moved down to the coast at Marcoola for logistical reasons, and because the brand was already well established here in Queensland the name was kept. We still use the same great recipes, and we are still very proud to be a local Sunshine Coast company.
We source all of our fresh produce whole and process everything ourselves on site in our kitchen, so that the freshest ingredients go into all of our products.
- Preservative free
- No artificial preservatives, colours or flavours. Our entire bottled range is free of dairy, eggs, nuts and oil.
- Gluten free and low in sodium
- Across the range, with one exception: our Special BBQ Sauce contains wheat, and its soy sauce puts it above what is considered low in sodium.
- Vegan-friendly options
- Throughout the range. The Special BBQ Sauce is not suitable, and our Gluten Free Christmas Pudding contains egg.
