The six things we are asked most often — what is in the jars, how long they keep, and where to find them. Every answer is on this page; nothing is hidden behind a click.

Apart from the Special BBQ Sauce, all our other products are classified as low in sodium and are suitable for anyone following a low sodium diet. We do not even have salt in our kitchen. The Special BBQ Sauce has soy sauce as one of the ingredients, which increases the sodium content beyond what is considered to be a low sodium product.
For maximum flavour and freshness, we recommend that you consume the products within 2–3 weeks after opening. However, some products — especially the dressings — are fine in a fridge for up to 6 weeks.
You will find a best before stamp on each jar, but most of our products have a shelf life of approximately 18 to 20 months from the date of production when unopened.

Maleny Cuisine was founded in the town of Maleny in 1988. Production moved down to the coast at Marcoola for logistical reasons about 15 years ago, but as it was a well-established brand here in Queensland the name Maleny Cuisine was kept. We still use the same great recipes and are still very proud to be a local Sunshine Coast company.
